Pippa Goodhart


Pippa Goodhart lives in a Cambridgeshire village. As well as writing, she teaches Cambridge University’s ICE ‘Introduction to Writing for Children’, and enjoys numerous school visits.


Pippa is best known for her award-winning You Choose picture books (illustrated by Nick Sharratt), and the Winnie the Witch storybooks written under the name of Laura Owen. 


Recent books include: All Sorts (Flying Eye) picture book (illustrated by Emily Rand), middle grade novel The Great Sea Dragon Discovery (Catnip) which won the Historical Association's Young Quills Award 2019. Picture book Fair Shares (Tiny Owl, illustrated by Anna Doherty) is recommended by Empathy Lab. Pippa also writes early reader books for educational series.


New and forthcoming are historical middle grade novel The Twisted Threads of Polly Freeman (Catnip) andYou Choose Fairytales (Penguin Random House).
