Max Boucherat

Max Boucherat (he/they) was born and raised in Cardiff, where they spent more time than is probably healthy out hunting for ghosts and once got locked in a graveyard after dark. They gained an MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University and now live with their wife and a very old, very loud little black cat in a mercifully ghost-free house in the middle of Caerphilly, South Wales.
Max's debut, The Last Life of Lori Mills (HarperCollins) was a book of the month in The Observer. The book, for middle grade readers, is Max’s love letter to horror and videogames. Derek Landy called it 'Terrific - fun, funny and just the right side of scary' while Rashmi Sirdeshpande wrote: 'A properly pacy, heart-pounding sci-fi thriller, perfect for gamers. Read it with ALL the lights on!’
A sequel will follow.
