Leah Mohammed lives in Shepperton, Surrey with her daughter and their much-loved dog, Henry. After studying for a degree in psychology and a masters in psychotherapy, Leah worked as a therapist before deciding to concentrate on her love of writing.
Coming from a mixed English and Pakistani background, Leah’s hope is to introduce diverse characters and explore different types of family dynamics in stories for everyone to enjoy.
Leah’s fiction debut, Luma and the Pet Dragon (Welbeck) is the first of a warm and funny series about the adventures of a girl and her mischievous pet dragon, Timir, and it has been followed by Luma and the Hiccuping Dragon and Luma and the Grumpy Dragon. She is currently working on a brand new series, also for younger readers.
