Jan Dunning was scouted by a model agency at Glastonbury Festival while studying for a degree in Fine Art and English Literature. After university, she spent a decade as an international model, walking runways in the fashion capitals of the world and shooting campaigns for the likes of Gucci, Laboratoires Garnier and Gap.

 

Realising she preferred the creativity of being on the other side of the camera, Jan trained as a photographer at Central St Martin's and has exhibited her images in London, Tokyo and New York She now lives in Bath with her family and, when she isn't taking pictures, she works as an art teacher and writes children's fiction.

 

Jan's experience of the worlds of fashion and photography inspired her debut teen novel MIRROR ME, published by Scholastic.
