Emily-Jane Clark is a TV comedy writer, author and part-time drama teacher whose passion for stories and making children laugh inspired her to turn her hand to funny children's fiction.

She has written for satirical newspaper The Daily Mash as well as TV shows The Mash Report, The Jonathan Ross Show and Mock the Week. One of her sketches for The Mash Report has been viewed more than 45 million times and is the most shared video in BBC history. Her book for sleep-deprived parents Sleep is for the Weak was an Amazon Top 100 bestseller.

Emily-Jane's funny middle grade fiction debut The Beasts of Knobbly Bottom: Attack of the Vampire Sheep (Scholastic) was shortlisted for the Waterstones Book of the Year and won the BASH prize and the Fantastic Book Award, and was followed by the equally hilarious Rise of the Zombie Pigs.

Her new tween series Cringe Club (Simon & Schuster) takes the form of a hilarious group chat between friends who support each other through embarrassing moments.
