Cath Howe lives in South West London and Sussex.  She runs arts events in schools and other venues, often using her own drama scripts and creative writing.  This close contact with her readership brings authenticity and resonance to her fiction

Cath's middle grade fiction receives outstanding reviews. Ella on the Outside (Nosy Crow) was nominated for the Carnegie Medal and won the North Somerset Teacher's Award. Red Reading Hub called The Insiders "another unmissable, wise, heartwarming story from Cath Howe" and The Times described My Life On Fire (Nosy Crow) as "one of those rare things: an engaging children's book that features precisely zero dragons, unicorns or orphans on a magical quest... for fans of Jacqueline Wilson or Judy Blume.”

There's a new title in Cath's series for younger readers, Call the Puffins (Welbeck), illustrated by Ella Okstad: Tiny and the Cave Ghost.
